ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
January 31, 2013 Meeting
Public Notice is hereby given that the East Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing in the Town Council Chambers, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut, on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 7:30 p.m., when the following applications will be heard:
Capitol Region Education Council, 800 Connecticut Blvd., Requests a variance from Section 404.1 Permitted Uses, to permit a school in a business zone. (Zone B-3)
Robert Bansemer, 575 & 589 Forbes Street, Requests variances from Sections 214.2(a & e) Accessory Structures and 302.3 Lot Sizes, to permit an accessory structure (a barn) 25 ft. in height requiring a 10 ft. variance and 3314 sq. ft. in size, plus 52 sq. ft. to include an existing gazebo, in total requiring a variance of 2585 sq. ft. for size for 575 Forbes and a variance from the 90 ft. square requirement for 589 Forbes. (Zone R-2)
Mike Sawrun, 447 Burnside Avenue, Requests variances from Sections 402.1(a) Permitted Uses and 205.3(a) Reconstruction of Nonconforming Uses, to permit the rebuilding of a 4 family residential building in a business zone. (Zone B-1)
Timothy Bockus, on behalf of the Town of East Hartford, 36 & 40 Central Avenue, Requests variances from Sections 304.1 Permitted Uses, 203.4 Buffer Strips, 209.1(a & c) and 209.6 Parking and 227.3 Front Landscaping, to permit a parking lot; eliminate buffering, landscaping and lighting requirements along property lines of adjoining lots for expanding library parking while the lots to remain under separate ownership. (Zone B-5 & R-4)
